Psalm 46:10

As I said last week, my family is memorizing a Bible verse each week.  My track record for memorizing verses is embarrassing.  I have the best intentions, but fail miserably to make it a habit.  So, I’m counting on you to keep me accountable!

Here is this week’s verse:

Everyone has a different style and preference for memorization.  For me, I need the verse to sink in deep.  It needs to resonate with my soul and speak to my heart.  It needs to have significance and cause change, not just be words on a piece of paper.

I found this video, from Imagine This LLC.  The video made the verse come alive for me.  I hope it will help all of us process and think deeply about what God wants to teach us through ETCHing this verse on our hearts.

I want to be still.  I want the clutter of the world to be silent, so I can hear God’s voice.  Without that, I am on my own and that’s a scary place to be.

How do you quiet all the distractions in your life to hear God?  Share with us in the comments below.
