The heart behind EtchLife

Like so many good stories, the story of EtchLife begins with a challenge. The Lord began stirring in our hearts in the fall of 2014 that we were compartmentalizing our faith from our other activities throughout the day.

EtchLife was the result of that tension—we decided to solve this problem in our own lives by designing beautiful products and tools that would help us (and you!) weave the Gospel of Jesus Christ through every area of our lives.

Got 90 seconds? Let two of our owners, Carrie and Kelsey, tell you a little more about that journey in this video.

Something we felt God impress on our hearts was that He wants us to learn His Word, live it out in our lives, and share it with others. So "learn it, live it, share it" is a guiding principle for us when we design products.

LEARN IT. We're called to learn God's Word and etch it on our hearts.
Learning and memorizing God's Word can be tricky and may feel overwhelming to try to figure out what verses to etch on our hearts like Scripture commands in Proverbs 7:3. So, we wanted to create beautiful products to help us with verses that apply to our everyday lives, that help us in our parenting, and to teach to our kids as well!

LIVE IT. God wants us to live His truth out in our everyday lives.
After time in God's Word with our coffee, it can be easy to walk away and forget what we just read and learned. That's why it's so important to have reminders throughout our day. When we take our eyes off of Jesus, these everyday items can bring us back and encourage us to depend on Him.

SHARE IT. We can share the truth we learn with those around us every day.
Matthew 28:19-20 says, "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you." We can share Jesus with others by inviting people into our homes, giving intentional gifts, or wearing an apparel piece that starts a conversation.
