The Heart Behind Our Collection: A Shared Table is a Shared Life

Posted by Etch Life on

The table is a gathering place for us to be in community with one another. Jesus broke bread and shared love and truth repeatedly in scripture and is a beautiful example to us of how we can share both the gospel + life in this setting.

This collection was developed from this foundational scripture:

We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News
but our own lives, too. 1 Thessalonians 2:8 | New Living Translation

Hospitality is foundational for breaking down walls and making room for relationships to be established and to deepen.  In the context of sharing our lives with others in community, we can then warmly and gracefully create space to share and approach the truth of the Gospel.

And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. Acts 2:46-47

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Acts 2:42

As you give a gift from this collection – or use one of the Shared Table products in your own home this season, we pray you will feel encouraged to talk about the reason why Jesus calls us to gather and further the meaning of His birth and the most meaningful significance it brings.

Love,

The Etch Girls
