ABOUT THE COLLECTION: The table is a place to remember the blessing of God. One ancient prayer (based on an even more ancient Hebrew prayer) says, “Blessed are you, O Lord God, King of the Universe, for you give us food to sustain our lives and make our hearts glad.” Our desire with this collection is to help us recover the importance of gathering with people around our tables for the purpose of enjoying a meal as both a gift and means of grace.
The verse reference is :: We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too. (1 Thessalonians 2:8 | New Living Translation)

The Fellowship of the Believers:: And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. (Acts 2:42 )
